The Europeans move on to the semi-finals and await the winner of Ninjas in Pyjamas and NASR's quarter-final match.
The first match of the Global Esports Tour Dubai saw Complexity and OG battle it out, with the European side edging out Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's crew in three maps, losing 11-16 and Overpass and securing the reverse-sweep, taking Vertigo 16-8 and Inferno 16-11.
Complexity's 2022 woes continue after another disappointing result and early exit from a tournament, adding to their dismal 13-16th placing at IEM Dallas and failing to get out of the Challengers stage at the PGL Major Antwerp altogether.

Complexity kicked things off on Overpass with a quick 3-0 lead over OG behind Ricky "floppy" Kemery's opening round triple-kill and Michael "Grim" Wince's 6-2 K-D at that point. OG were able to find the bomb plant in the fourth and get themselves on the board, however more excellent fragging courtesy of multi-kills from Grim and Justin "FaNg" Coakley allowed the North Americans to extend their lead to 7-1. The rest of the first half continued the way of Complexity, who only dropped two more rounds to OG in the last seven as they kept up their nearly impenetrable defense and cruised to a 12-3 lead over the Europeans by halftime.
OG got the ball rolling to start the second half by securing eight out of the first nine rounds as the defenders. The Europeans brought themselves back into the game through their area control throughout the whole map and good firepower across the board as Nemanja "nexa" Isaković's squad mounted a comeback and reduced Complexity's lead to just two. Two rounds away from losing their advantage and with the game's momentum against them, FaNg drove his team to victory and took three consecutive rounds to deny OG the comeback and secured a 1-0 series lead heading into their map pick.
Vertigo began the way of OG, whose aggressive and committed site defense accompanied by nexa's seven kills allowed them to garner a swift 4-1 lead over Complexity. Similar to how their opponents opened the previous map, OG then went on a tear, convincingly shutting down the North Americans' attacks off the back of multi-kill rounds from various players and comfortably leading 12-3 after 15 rounds.

Coming out of the break, the pistol round saw a lot of action with FaNg facing a 1vs5 situation, which he almost turned into an ace clutch before Shahar "flameZ" Shushan took his head and sealed the second pistol for OG. Complexity looked as if they would be able to replicate OG's streak on Overpass, but nexa and company shut it down before things got out of hand and forced a decider on Inferno.
It was once again Complexity who got off to a hot start, this time in the deciding map of Inferno as they took a 4-1 lead. OG fought back and eventually tied the game up once again thanks to a 1vs3 clutch from Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar in the eighth denying the full-eco round win for the North Americans. From that point on, OG delivered a nearly flawless first half performance as they entered the switch up 10-5, winning six out of the last seven to close out the half.
Keeping with the theme of the first two maps, Complexity threatened OG's lead as they took five out of the first seven after halftime, bringing them within two. Ultimately, it wasn't meant to be for the North Americans as nexa's side were able to close out Inferno 16-11, and complete the series reverse sweep, eliminating Complexity.
